Who Am I?

Hello…

If we haven’t met, my name is Richelle and thanks SO much for being here! Because this is my first blog, I wanted to take the opportunity to share a bit about myself and I’m guessing if you are reading this, we probably have a few things in common.

More about me personally: I am a wife (married 35 years!) and mom to 2 amazing young men who will always have my heart. I have been a licensed cosmetologist for longer than I care to admit and a caregiver for my mom, which comes with its own challenges. You can also add lifestyle and personal mentor, along with being a woman in midlife. I turn 60 this November and have quite a lot of feels about it already! As you can see, I wear a few different hats, my bet is that you do too.

A few years ago, I had a life changing experience with a personal mentor. I was feeling stuck, unfulfilled, and searching for more. Those sessions helped me to realize that I had so much I wanted to share and give. The time spent with my mentor helped me to give myself permission to explore that side of myself- this is what led me to becoming a lifestyle and personal growth mentor. I was already doing this behind the chair with my salon guests, but gently guiding women through midlife using personal mentoring, gratitude, journaling and easy beauty tips has become truly fulfilling. Seeing those light bulb moments and witnessing women reconnect with themselves through soulful intention setting reminds me why I love what I do! Finishing my coaching course has been a gift to myself and it taught me how to hold sacred space for the women I serve.

Embracing midlife is a process and a journey- it comes with changes physically, mentally, socially, and professionally. Navigating career changes, empty nests, divorce, caring for aging parents or grandchildren (or both!) can be difficult and challenging. It can also be rich, rewarding and manageable when you have someone walking beside you.

Midlife can be a time of self discovery- taking time to reflect, reconnect and find your magic. Maybe an empty nest means there is more time for you to explore hobbies, travel, go back to school or start a new career. Being a caregiver might help with learning how to ask for help or finally put boundaries in place- a beautiful path to self care. Maybe your career is established and midlife is feeling like a great opportunity to slow down, lower the pressure. Maybe you’re just ready for something new, more meaningful… Regardless, midlife can be magical and soul changing when you uncover that quiet dream, allowing it to surface, nurturing it to grow.

So, I’m curious- how are feeling about midlife? Does it feel like the end or the start of a new and beautiful season to blossom? My hope is you find the gifts that midlife brings. Either way, I see you. I support you. You see, this is my midlife calling- walking alongside, gently guiding, holding space on your way to your soul’s desires.
